Common questions
What civilian jobs can a combat medic or corpsman get?
Common paths are EMT and paramedic, ER or patient care technician, medical assistant, phlebotomist, and a bridge into LPN or RN school, depending on what you did and the certifications you hold. Each state sets its own license rules, so the tool names the civilian roles and what they usually ask for, and points you to your state's board to confirm.
Does my military training count as a civilian license?
Usually not by itself: most civilian healthcare jobs need a state license or a national certification such as the NREMT. Many states and schools give credit for military medical training, so ask your state board and the school's veterans office. The tool never says a credential transfers.
