Which US healthcare jobs sponsor a visa?
The jobs here are the ones whose own posting offers to sponsor a work visa, and each row quotes the posting's sentence. Most postings that name a visa say they do not sponsor one; those are left out, and so is any posting that offers sponsorship and limits it in the same breath. Ask the employer's recruiter which visa they sponsor for the job before you apply.
Which visas do US hospitals and clinics sponsor?
Four, mostly. The H-1B is for jobs that need at least a bachelor's degree in the field, such as physicians and physical and occupational therapists. A J-1 waiver through the Conrad 30 program lets a physician who trained in the US on a J-1 stay by working at least 3 years in an area short of doctors. The TN is for Canadian and Mexican citizens in listed professions, registered nurses among them. A green card through EB-3 is how most nurses educated abroad come: nurses and physical therapists are on the Labor Department's Schedule A, so their employer needs no labor market test.
What does a nurse educated abroad need to work in the US?
A US registered nurse license from a state board, which means passing the NCLEX-RN; most states first review your education and license, and immigration asks for a VisaScreen certificate that checks your education, license and English. Recruiters of internationally educated nurses arrange the exam, the license, the green card and the move, and the employer usually pays for it.
How much do sponsored healthcare jobs pay?
The visa sponsorship jobs open today that state an hourly rate post a median of $50.69 an hour for nurses and $47.50 an hour for therapy & rehab (the middle of each posted range). An H-1B employer must pay at least the prevailing wage for the job and the place, so a sponsored worker is paid like anyone in the same job.
