Job feed

Publish our healthcare jobs to your readers

A free XML feed of the nursing, allied health, therapy, pharmacy and care jobs on CareJobs. Now, rebuilt every night. Job sites, apps and newsletters use it to show the jobs to their own audience. Read the standard file today, or ask for a file of your own.

Your name goes into every link of your own file, so we can tell you what your readers did.

What you get

What each job carries

referencenumber
The job's own key. It stays the same while the job is open; a job open in several places is listed once per place, each with its own key.
title, company, companyid
The job as the employer names it, the employer, and the employer's stable key on our board (the same on all its jobs).
url
The job's page on our site, carrying your source name. It is the apply link.
description
The employer's own posting, as its page shows it.
date
When the employer posted the job (or the day we first saw it, when the employer gives no date).
salary
The pay as the posting states it.
salarymin, salarymax, salarycurrency, salaryperiod
The same pay as numbers, by the hour, week or year, where the posting states figures.
city, state, country, remotetype
Where the work is done, and whether it is remote.
jobtype, category
Full time, part time, per diem or contract as the employer states it, and the kind of job.
expirationdate
The day applications close, only where the posting names one; most jobs stay open until filled.

We also write the layouts some job sites ask for: Jooble (/feeds/jooble.xml), Careerjet (/feeds/careerjet.xml), Jobsora (/feeds/jobsora.xml), PostJobFree (/feeds/postjobfree.xml) and PostJobFree (remote jobs) (/feeds/postjobfree-remote.xml).

Questions job sites ask

May we publish the jobs on our own pages?
Yes, including pages search engines index, as long as each listing links to the url the feed gives for it. Please keep the pay as the feed states it: it is the employer's own figure. No logo or credit line is needed.
Is there a direct application link?
The url is the apply link. It opens the job's page on our site, whose Apply button takes the person to the employer's own application, and it always shows whether the job is still open.
Which jobs does the feed hold?
Every open job that has a page on our site and a full description, posted within the last 45 days. Jobs we only link to on another job board are left out, since they have no page here to send your readers to.
How do we know a job has closed?
Read the whole file each time: a reference number that is no longer in it has closed. A closed job's url stays up as a page that says it closed and shows similar open jobs nearby, so an old link never breaks.
How current is it?
Every employer's careers site is read every night, and the files are rebuilt from those reads each morning, US time. Reading the feed once a day keeps you current.
Can we have only some of the jobs?
Yes. Your own file can hold only one or more kinds of job, only jobs in the states you serve, only remote jobs, or only some occupations, and it can leave out titles your readers cannot apply to. Pick what you want above and send the request.
The file is large. Is that normal?
Yes. The complete file holds every job with its full description, which is what a site that publishes the jobs needs, and it is served from storage built for large files. Read it with a streaming XML reader rather than loading it whole.
Can we see what our listings did?
Yes. The links in your own file carry your source name, and on request we send you the visitors and applications your listings brought.
