Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at Safe and Sound Home Care in Hernando, Mississippi. As a Caregiver , you will provide private duty care to our clients, assisting with daily living activities and promoting independence. If you are passionate about helping others and have a love for pets, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding role.
About the Role
As a Caregiver with Safe and Sound Home Care, you will work one-on-one with clients to provide personal care, companionship, daily living assistance, and support. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing personal care hygiene assistance, such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating
- Assisting with medication management and ambulation
- Helping with mobility around the house or outside, including doctor's appointments and walks
- Planning and preparing meals
- Completing client shopping or accompanying them
- Performing housekeeping duties
- Reporting any unusual incidents and acting quickly and responsibly in case of an emergency
- Offering activities essential for daily living, including meal preparation and serving
Qualifications
To be considered for this Caregiver role, you must:
- Have a strong willingness to learn and improve your skills
- Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Demonstrate a compassionate and supportive attitude
- Be available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
- Have prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
- Be willing to enforce safety standards
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent experience as a Caregiver
- Take pride in providing high-quality care
