Job Summary

At Safe and Sound Home Care, we are a family-owned agency committed to providing quality, dependable, and highly trained private-duty caregivers to our clients across North Mississippi. We support our caregivers with paid training, access to early pay, PTO, an amazing care supervisory team, and much more! As a Private Duty Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting older adults and adults with disabilities in their homes by providing personalized care and support.

Responsibilities

• Redirect, stabilize, and offer oversight to reduce confusion and anxiety for our clients
• Assist with daily living activities such as dressing, grooming, hygiene, and meals while providing kindness, patience, and meaningful support
• Support a calm and welcoming home environment by helping with routine needs like laundry, light cleaning, and keeping the space neat and comfortable
• Assist clients with staying active and engaged by driving them to appointments, completing errands together, and assisting with grocery shopping
• Foster emotional well-being by spending quality time with clients through conversation, music, crafts, and other activities that bring joy and connection
• Provide specialized, compassionate care for individuals living with Alzheimer's and dementia, stroke recovery, Parkinson's, diabetes, and those receiving end-of-life support

Requirements

• Have reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and valid insurance
• Be available to work some weekends
• Have at least 1 year of experience (preferred, not required)
• Pass background screening requirements and undergo drug testing
