Schedule/Shift

Night shift, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with every-other-weekend and holiday requirements based on the unit needs.

Job Description

The Emergency Department (ED) is a 40-bed unit, including 2 trauma bays, 7 Rapid Medical Exam (RME) beds, and psych/seclusion rooms. The unit averages 120 patients per day and requires nurses who have extensive experience in high-volume emergency care. As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will provide care to a variety of patients, including trauma cases, STEMI, and stroke patients. You will also maintain documentation using the EPIC system.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in an emergency setting.
• Assess, monitor, and tailor interventions for patients facing a range of conditions.
• Work collaboratively with ED physicians, mid-level providers, and support staff.
• Utilize EPIC for documentation and patient management.
• Participate in compliance with hospital protocols and regulations.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar size/volume emergency department.
• Previous travel nursing experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications are required.
• CEN, TCRN, and CPEN certifications are preferred.
