Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Responsibilities
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Provide assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal care
- Assist residents with transfers, ambulation, and repositioning
- Take and document vital signs accurately
- Observe residents and report changes in condition to licensed nursing staff
- Assist residents during meals and with feeding when needed
- Provide compassionate emotional support and companionship
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable resident environment
- Follow individualized resident care plans
- Work closely with RNs, LPNs, therapists, and other members of the healthcare team
- Provide exceptional service to residents and their families
- Help promote resident dignity, comfort, and quality of life
CNA Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Previous experience in skilled nursing, nursing home, rehabilitation, long-term care, assisted living, healthcare, or senior care preferred
- Compassion for elderly and geriatric residents
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable attendance and dependability
- Team-oriented attitude
- Commitment to providing high-quality resident care
- Ability to work assigned shifts and required weekend rotations
