About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dedicated team at Candlewood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide personalized care and attention to residents' physical and emotional needs
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration
- Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions to licensed staff
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control protocols
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with industry best practices
Requirements
- Current CNA certification in the state of Connecticut
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients as needed
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and empathetic towards residents and families
