Certified Medication Aide
Join our team at Avir at Park in Wichita Falls, TX
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medication Aide to join our dedicated care team at Avir at Park. As a Certified Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by administering medications, managing medication carts, and providing exceptional care.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications to residents as prescribed by the attending physician
- Manage medication carts, restock supplies, and maintain cleanliness and organization
- Monitor residents' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff
- Provide basic care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with admission and discharge processes, as well as orientation to our community
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care
Requirements
- Current certification as a Certified Medication Aide in the State of Texas
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 0 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred, but not required
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
