Full Time Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, no nights, weekends, or on-call required.

Job Description

This outpatient cardiology role involves providing care in a clinic setting, where moderate sedation is a significant component of the position. The nurse will perform various stress tests and aid in patient monitoring and education. Collaboration with physicians and technical staff is essential to ensure accurate and timely results.

Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with Treadmill, ETTs, and Nuclear Stress Testing.
• Conduct initial patient interviews and assess test data for preliminary evaluations.
• Prepare studies for physician interpretation and ensure accurate reporting.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures and provide thorough patient education.
• Recognize arrythmias and respond to emergency situations in accordance with protocols.
• Assist with special procedures such as stress-echo studies and tilt table studies.
• Perform conscious sedation as needed during procedures.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience with recent focus on arrhythmia recognition and cardiology.
• Experience with moderate sedation, treadmill, and nuclear stress testing is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Valid RN license in New York.
• BLS and ACLS certifications (both through AHA or RQI required).
