Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care in the Medical Surgical unit. The position requires comfort in handling occasional critical care patients, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and adhering to facility protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient conditions and implement care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.
• Communicate effectively with medical staff and family members about patient status.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Required Experience

A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience is required. Previous charge experience is preferred, especially in a Medical Surgical or similar setting.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current nursing license to practice in South Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
