Schedule/Shift

4 x 10-hour shifts, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 06:30 to 17:00. No call or weekend requirements.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in an Oncology Clinic, focusing on adult medical and surgical oncology patients, particularly breast medical oncology. Responsibilities include triaging patient calls, educating patients, and assisting with procedures such as bone marrow biopsies, port removals, and breast biopsies, depending on unit designation. All documentation will be managed using the Epic system.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient triage and manage calls.
• Educate patients regarding procedures and results.
• Assist in specialized oncology procedures as required.
• Document all patient interactions in the Epic system.

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of registered nursing experience, with surgical, outpatient, and medical oncology experience required. Triage experience is required as well.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS certification required.
• Chemotherapy certification preferred but not required.
• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state welcomed.
