Job Summary

Wellsville Manor, Allegany County's premier inpatient rehabilitation center, is seeking a dedicated Medical Records professional to join our team. As a Medical Records professional, you will play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our patients' medical records. About the Role
As a Medical Records professional, you will be responsible for maintaining and processing medical records, responding to requests for medical records, and transferring documents to our Electronic Medical Record (EMR). This is a part-time position, Monday through Friday, 9am to 2pm. Prior healthcare medical records experience is a plus, and you must be willing to undergo a criminal background check.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for patients
- Process requests for medical records and respond to inquiries from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies
- Transfer documents to our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
- Work closely with healthcare providers and other staff members to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Medical Records Supervisor
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior healthcare medical records experience a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to undergo a criminal background check
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 9am to 2pm
