Dietician (PART_TIME) - Wellsville, New York

At Wellsville Manor, we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Dietician to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a valued member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in providing Medical Nutrition Therapy to adult and geriatric patients, ensuring they receive the highest quality care as they recover and transition back to their homes.

Responsibilities

• Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy to adult and geriatric patients, including nutrition assessments and documentation in medical records
• Assess nutritional status through screening, presence of malnutrition, and implementing interventions to improve nutrition status and reduce length of stay
• Utilize physician-driven protocols to implement, initiate, or modify orders for diet or nutrition-related actions, including nutrition supplements, diet modifications, and nutrition education and counseling
• Manage nutrition support therapies, including enteral and parenteral formula selection and rate adjustments, and administration of medications and vitamin/mineral supplements
• Participate in facility-wide and department Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) Program and on QAPI teams to improve processes and patient care
• Attend departmental meetings, staff development, patient care rounds, and professional programs
