Are you currently working as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) and ready to take the next step in your healthcare career? The Shores of Worthington wants to help you get there!

We’re looking for motivated PCAs who want to become Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). You don’t have to figure it out on your own. We’ll help you prepare, gain hands-on experience, and work toward your CNA certification while earning a paycheck.

Two Ways to Become a CNA

OPTION 1: Test Out - Fast-Track Your Certification

Already have the knowledge and experience needed to become a CNA? You may be able to test out of the traditional training course by passing the required written and skills exams.

The Shores will help you prepare by providing:

• CNA and skills handbooks to help you study.
• An opportunity to meet with our team, ask questions, and prepare for testing.
• Reimbursement of your CNA testing costs once you pass, according to program guidelines.
• The opportunity to transition into a CNA position as soon as you meet certification and employment requirements.

OPTION 2: Work While You Learn

Would you prefer to complete a traditional CNA course while earning money? We can help with that, too!

The Shores will assist you with enrolling in a local CNA training program and paying for the course, according to program guidelines.

• Earn a paycheck while completing your CNA education.
• Receive hands-on facility training to help you feel comfortable in your new role.
• Gain real-world experience that complements what you learn in class.
• Work in an approved CNA role for up to four months while completing your course and certification requirements, subject to applicable regulations.

Your Pay Increases When You Become Certified!

We believe in investing in our employees and helping them advance their careers.

Starting PCA wage: $19.00 per hour

CNA wage after certification: $24.00 per hour

• Eligible for a CNA sign-on bonus according to applicable bonus guidelines
