Senior Companion
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Companion to join our team at Seniors Helping Seniors Central Oklahoma. As a Senior Companion, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors in Ardmore, OK. Our in-home care services offer a unique program of care and compassion, matching seniors who want to help others with those who need assistance. Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical care and companionship to seniors in their homes, promoting independence, dignity, and well-being
- Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Facilitate socialization and engagement through recreational activities, outings, and conversations
- Prepare meals and snacks, as needed
- Maintain a safe and clean living environment
- Collaborate with other care team members to ensure comprehensive care and support
- Document client progress and provide reports to the care management team
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (if applicable)
- Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Experience working with seniors or in a caregiving capacity (not required, but preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays
Work Environment
- In-home care settings , providing one-on-one support to seniors in their own homes
- Part-Time schedule , with flexible hours to accommodate your needs
