At Right at Home Morgantown, our mission is "In Home Care and Assistance" , and we're seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Companion to join our team. As a Home Care Companion, you will play a vital role in providing companionship, support, and care to seniors and vulnerable adults in their own homes.
About the Role
- Provide companionship and social interaction to clients, including conversation, reading, and outings
- Assist with light housekeeping, meal prep, and other daily living activities
- Support clients with personal care services, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families
- Work collaboratively with our care team to ensure quality care and exceptional customer service
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and support to clients in their own homes
- Assist with daily living activities, such as grooming, bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients
- Document client care and update charts as necessary
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in home care, healthcare, or a related field is preferred
- Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (if applicable)
- Compassionate and empathetic demeanor, with a strong commitment to providing exceptional care and service
