Shift Details : PRN 8 hour weekday shifts. No weekends! PRN requirement is a minimum of three shifts per six week schedule. Eligibility to participate in our 401K program with generous match after 90 days of service

General Statement of Duties:

Our Certified Surgical Technologists are responsible for performing a variety of duties in the operating room area to assist the surgical team, such as scrubbing on all types of orthopedic surgical procedures, preparing equipment and sterile instruments for use, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

At our outpatient surgery center in Brownsburg, the CST assists with a variety of outpatient procedures and surgeries that require a 23 hour or less stay.

Essential Duties

• Prepares sterile setup with instruments, supplies, equipment, and solutions/medications for cases as needed and assists surgeons in all types of procedures as required.
• Performs appropriate counts as established by policy and procedure.
• Reviews surgeon preference cards.
• Maintains aseptic environment for patients.

5..Maintains clean, safe, and functional operation room environment and equipment.

• Assists professional personnel in the control of supplies and medications.
• Ensures proper care and maintenance of all surgical instrumentation and equipment used.

Requirements

• Associate's degree from an accredited surgical technology program required.
• Certified Surgical Technician certification required.
• BLS certification required.
