Therapy Aide

Oak Hill Village is seeking a Therapy Aide to support our therapy team!

The Rehab Technician supports the therapy team (PT, OT, SLP) in providing safe, effective care to residents. This role includes assisting with non-skilled tasks, preparing treatment areas, supporting resident participation in therapy, and completing assigned clerical duties.

Key Responsibilities

Patient/Resident Support

• Assist residents to and from therapy areas
• Help set up for therapy sessions (wheelchairs, equipment, positioning)
• Supervise residents during exercises as directed by therapist
• Ensure resident comfort and safety at all times

Therapy Assistance

• Carry out delegated, non-skilled tasks from therapists
• Support group therapy sessions
• Monitor and report resident responses or concerns to therapist

Equipment & Environment

• Clean and sanitize therapy equipment after each use
• Maintain organized and safe therapy spaces
• Check equipment for proper function and report issues

Clerical Duties

• Perform clerical and administrative tasks as assigned
• Answer phones and relay messages to therapy staff
• Schedule or assist with therapy appointments
• Maintain logs, filing, and basic documentation support
• Assist with tracking therapy supplies and inventory

Documentation Support

• Record basic activity logs (if required by facility)
• Communicate observations to therapy staff

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Interest in healthcare, rehabilitation, or therapy services
• Experience in healthcare preferred (CNA or aide experience is a plus)

Important Notes

• Rehab Techs do NOT perform skilled therapy
• All patient care tasks must be delegated and supervised appropriately
