Location: Mesquite, TX (Dallas Area)

Status: Full-Time

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week

Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, seven days a week

Position Summary

We are seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Mesquite, Texas . This role is ideal for experienced clinicians who value variety, autonomy, and meaningful community impact while practicing in a fast-paced, well-supported urgent care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including laboratory testing and imaging
• Perform urgent care procedures, including suturing, wound management, splinting, and other procedures as appropriate
• Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Code and bill services appropriately
• Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
• Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards, protocols, and core values

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Texas Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
• Nurse Practitioners: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification through ANCC or AANP
• Physician Assistants: Current NCCPA certification
• Active DEA license or ability to obtain
• Ability to evaluate and treat patients of all ages
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR)
• Availability to work three 12-hour shifts per week, including rotating weekends and holidays
• DOT certification or willingness to obtain (certification fees covered)
• Ability to practice independently in a fast-paced urgent care environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience
• Strong procedural skills, including suturing, splinting, and wound care
• Experience with initial X-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read
• Experience managing a diverse patient population independently
