The NEEDS Center is a growing non-profit organization and right now we have 8 openings for Direct Care Support Professionals who will assist and support adults with developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible while enjoying all aspects of Community Living. This is a role where you can truly make a difference in the lives of others.

• Full-time and Part-time positions available in our residential home in Billerica, MA .
• These positions are primarily either 2 nd shift, overnights, and/or weekends.
• These are entry-level jobs with great potential for career growth--and training is provided

Pay range : $20-$21 per hour ( Pay based on experience and MAP Certification.)

Responsibilities include

• Proving hands-on personal care and assisting adults with autism in their daily routines.
• Supporting our residents in developing daily living skills, such as personal care, grooming, cooking, and cleaning.
• Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment, including cleaning common areas and ensuring personal spaces are tidy.
• Implement clinical, educational and vocational programs.
• Observe and record data for programs established in their Individual and Behavior support plans.
• Participate with other team members to create a therapeutic environment that includes regular community membership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
• Experience with behavior management preferred (but not necessary)
• Ability and willingness to provide hands-on personal care to adults with developmental disabilities.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form with co-workers and supported individuals. Must be able to read fluently.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record .
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team.

There is a particular emphasis on providing services to individuals with interfering challenging behavior and/or dual diagnosis.
