About the job
KenCrest Services is seeking DSPs to work in a group home setting with people with intellectual disabilities. Full-time and part-time positions and all shifts are available.
Responsibilities include:Assisting individuals with activities of daily living (examples are personal care, meals, and medication)Encouraging individuals to participate in community activities.Handling general housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.While providing supervision and support, the DSP also provides opportunity for each individual to develop and grow towards greater independence.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDValid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle recordClear criminal record and other background checks in accordance with state requirementsAbility to pass all required trainingsAbility to convey, understand and follow spoken and written instructions in EnglishExperience preferred, but willing to train otherwise qualified candidates
