Billing Prior Authorization Specialist

Location: Remote-WFH*

Compensation: $18.00/hr - $19.00/hr

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week

*Candidates must reside in one of the following states: Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, Idaho, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, or Washington.

The Role

As a Billing Prior Authorization Specialist , you play a key role in obtaining referral and authorization for services within the billing department. Additional responsibilities include:

•Enters new patients’ and existing patient's data into the computer

•Obtains referrals for services

•Obtains appropriate authorizations for services

•Gathers medical records to submit to insurance for proper authorization

•Provides patients with estimated cost for services

•Finalizes the appropriate data for accounts

•Maintains tracking of authorization limits

•Obtains referrals for medical services

•Infrequent travel by vehicle or airplane

•Other projects and duties as assigned
