Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Clinical Fellow (CF)
About the job
Help Kids Show the World How Awesome They Are
Your Clinical Fellowship year shapes the kind of SLP you become. At DV Therapy, you'll spend it in our clinic with an experienced speech team, real supervision, and people who want to see you finish fully licensed and confident in your clinical judgment.
We work with kids from early childhood through school age. Our speech program is led by Meghan Foote, our Speech and OT Clinical Director. Across the company we follow a philosophy we call Fan First: care for kids and families well enough that they become fans, not just clients. For you, that means time to do the work well instead of racing from session to session.
Why Clinical Fellows Choose DV Therapy
- $35.00 – $40.00 per hour. This is your base pay, with no bonus folded in to make the number look bigger.
- DV Therapy is SLP-owned. Iddo deVries, MS CCC-SLP, founded DV Therapy, still owns it, and helps run the speech program with our ST Clinical Director. Our COO, Mariah Prentice, started here as an SLPA nearly ten years ago. The people who shape your fellowship have been where you are.
- Supervision built for your CF year. You'll have a weekly one-on-one with your CF supervisor, a CA-licensed, ASHA-certified SLP, and a caseload that grows as your confidence does. You'll have someone to talk through the hard cases with, not just someone who signs your hours. And your supervisor isn't your only support: our Clinical Director and lead clinicians check in with you regularly and are a quick message away whenever a question comes up mid-day.
- ABA and OT down the hall. Every one of our clinics runs integrated pediatric teams in person. The feeding question, the AAC decision, the behavior barrier all get worked out in the hallway. Most CFs never get to learn this way.
- One clinic, clinic-based. No windshield time and no hauling materials between sites.
- A clear path past your fellowship. Your CA SLP license is paid for after 1 year, and we promote from within, as our COO's career shows.
- Paid time off, paid holidays, and sick time, plus optional summer and winter breaks
- 401(k) with a company match on up to 5%
- Health insurance, plus up to 9 free mental-health consultations per year through LifeCare
- Professional liability insurance is covered, not your line item
- CEU reimbursement, gym stipend, T-Mobile plan option, and LifeMart discounts
- Discretionary profit-sharing bonus program
What you'll do
- Provide speech and language therapy to pediatric and school-aged clients in our clinic
- Build individualized treatment plans and measurable goals with guidance from your supervising SLP
- Administer standardized assessments and help interpret results
- Track progress and adjust your approach as kids grow
- Write session notes, treatment plans, and progress reports (we keep paperwork light)
- Coordinate care with our OT and ABA colleagues
What you'll bring
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (completed, or finishing before your start date)
- A California RPE license, or eligibility to obtain one before your start
- Familiarity with pediatric communication disorders and evidence-based therapy approaches
- Clear written and verbal communication with families and teammates
- Pediatric externship or prior experience is a plus, not a requirement

"I've worked in ABA-only clinics before. Having ST and OT down the hall means I'm learning something new every week, not just from trainings, but from lunch conversations."
- Devin R., BCBA, Santa Fe Springs
"The multidisciplinary setup here means I never feel like I'm guessing in my own silo. If I have a question about a kid's motor planning, the OT is right there, not three referrals away."
- Jordan K., RBT, Palmdale
"I love that leadership actually invests in team building. It's not just a pizza party once a year, it's a whole culture of showing up for each other."
- Selena M., Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant, Santa Fe Springs
