About Avance Care

As one of North Carolina's largest independent primary care networks with over 35 clinics spanning the Raleigh/Durham, Charlotte, and Wilmington regions, Avance Care is on a mission to revolutionize healthcare by delivering exceptional, inclusive, and whole-person care.

We believe this transformation starts with providers who feel valued, rewarded, and supported, which is why we actively eliminate burnout through premium benefits, a collaborative teamwork culture, and flexible scheduling that protects your work-life balance. By integrating traditional medicine with on-site behavioral health and nutrition services, we create an affirming, non-judgmental environment where you can move away from treating patients like numbers and focus on building deep, meaningful relationships.

Why Work for Avance Care?

We know that outstanding patient care starts with happy, supported providers. We offer premium compensation and structure your day to guarantee a healthy professional and personal balance through:

  • True Work-Life Balance: Maximum of 40 hours per week; which includes 36 hrs/wk patient facing and built in 4 hrs/wk for admin time.
  • Manageable Pace: An expected average patient load of just 2 visits per hour, giving you time to practice mindful medicine.
  • Onsite Collaborative Care: Work alongside an integrated team of onsite labs, behavioral health therapists, and nutritionists.
  • Innovative Technology: Work with a robust EMR system and integrated telehealth tools designed to make delivering care seamless.
  • Robust Administrative Support: Centralized care coordination, care management, and population health management handle the heavy lifting, so you can focus on patients.
  • Premium Benefits : We offer a top-tier compensation package featuring high earning potential through competitive salaries with productivity bonuses, plus comprehensive medical and dental insurance, 401(k) matching, and robust paid time off and holiday benefits.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Clinical Care & Assessment

  • Comprehensive Primary Care: Perform routine physical exams, preventive health screenings, and annual wellness visits for diverse patient populations.
  • Acute & Chronic Care Management: Diagnose and treat acute illnesses while actively managing chronic conditions.
  • Diagnostic & Treatment Plans: Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe safe, effective medications, and/or therapies.
  • In-Office Procedures: Execute minor outpatient clinical procedures appropriate to the primary care setting and within the provider's licensed scope of practice.

Integrated & Mindful Medicine

  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Actively partner with onsite behavioral health therapists and nutritionists to provide seamless, whole-person care during patient visits.
  • Telehealth Delivery: Seamlessly transition between in-person visits and integrated telehealth platforms to support flexible patient access.
  • Patient-Centered Education: Counsel and educate patients on preventative lifestyles, proactive chronic disease monitoring, and collaborative treatment plans.

Care Coordination & Administration

  • Care Coordination Partnership: Collaborate closely with Avance Care's centralized care coordination and population health management teams to bridge gaps in patient care.
  • Electronic Documentation: Efficiently manage and accurately document patient encounters within the electronic health record (EHR) system during designated administrative blocks.
