Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,638 a week in all, a taxable rate of $21.85 an hour plus $1,764 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Operating Room. This position supports a high-acuity operating room serving patients from newborn through geriatric age ranges across multiple surgical specialties. The role requires strong circulating experience, advanced surgical knowledge, and the ability to support complex procedures in a collaborative clinical environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating day shifts consisting of two 8-hour shifts from 06:45–15:15 and two 12-hour shifts from 06:45–19:15, totaling 40 hours per week. On-call and off-shift hours may vary. The schedule includes four on-call shifts and four weekend shifts during each 6-week scheduling period, with holidays required as scheduled.
• Required Qualifications: Active Maryland or compact Registered Nurse license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA); minimum of 2 years of operating room experience; prior travel experience; strong circulating experience; experience with Trauma Level I and Trauma Level II cases; community hospital experience; Electronic Medical Record charting experience using Epic; experience with neuro, orthopedic, spine, craniotomy, general, robotic, ear, nose and throat, and oral and maxillofacial procedures; influenza vaccination required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience; Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification; National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification; strong scrubbing experience across surgical specialties.
• Additional Information: The operating room supports 17 surgical services and processes approximately 50–60 cases per day, including general, laparoscopic, robotic, hybrid, neuro, orthopedic, spine, craniotomy, ear, nose and throat, oral and maxillofacial, vascular, thoracic, urologic, gynecologic, pediatric, and trauma procedures. Patient care encompasses all age groups, from neonates through geriatrics, in a high-acuity environment. Responsibilities include circulating complex cases, with scrubbing experience preferred. Robotic equipment includes Da Vinci Xi and Da Vinci SP systems. A 60-minute response time applies to on-call shifts.
