Job Summary

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical With Telemetry. This position provides care for adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced, high-volume border setting supporting emergency, medical-surgical, telemetry, and intermediate-care patients. The role requires clinical judgment across a wide range of diagnoses, including complex emergency admissions, with floating within scope to designated units.

Job Details

• Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:30 PM–8:00 AM, totaling 36 hours per week; every other weekend and holidays as scheduled. The assignment is scheduled from 12/14/2026 through 03/15/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Active Maryland or Compact Registered Nurse license; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; at least 2 years of experience; travel experience; experience managing a patient ratio of 1:6; competency in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing, emergency department holding care, cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, central and peripheral line care, blood product administration, respiratory support, cardiac and vasoactive drips, intravenous therapy, wound care, post-procedure care, and rapid response or code team activation.
• Preferred Qualifications: Charge experience; experience with Electronic Health Record systems; community hospital experience; Trauma Level I or Trauma Level II experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Patient care includes adults and geriatric patients with emergency admission diagnoses and a daily census ranging from approximately 10 to 32 boarders. Respiratory services, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support are available. Influenza vaccination is required. Pre-scheduled call shifts are not required.
