Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,425 a week in all, a taxable rate of $20 an hour plus $1,625.26 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Case Manager – Location unspecified. This position involves coordinating patient care and discharge planning in an acute hospital setting. The role requires float capabilities between units and adherence to clinical and operational guidelines to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Position Description: Case Manager. Will position float between units; no on-call required; every other weekend coverage; block schedules; caseload approximately 20.
• Certifications/Education/Experience: Valid BLS certification; Case Management Certification; at least 2 years of experience in hospital care management or discharge planning.
• Shift & Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week.
• Additional Requirements: Recent acute care experience in hospital care management/discharge planning; experience with Epic charting system; possess a valid state license, including a compact license if applicable; must include response to prior work at a Providence facility if applicable.
• Preferred Qualifications: Behavioral health experience, advanced care coordination skills, knowledge of CMS, NCQA, healthcare quality measures, and familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
• Responsibilities: Conduct needs assessments, determine medical necessity based on evidence-based guidelines, facilitate discharge planning, manage prior authorizations, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and safety standards.
• Submission Requirements: Must include two references covering one year within the last three years, prior work at a facility with acute care experience, and response to the specific questions regarding prior employment at Providence facilities.
