Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $1,582 a week in all, a taxable rate of $15 an hour plus $981.91 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Medical Laboratory Technologist performs routine and complex analytical procedures on blood, body fluids, and other specimens under general supervision. The position involves manual techniques and the use of laboratory instruments and information systems while applying technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge of laboratory functions.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited bachelor’s degree program in medical technology, medical laboratory sciences, or clinical laboratory sciences. A bachelor’s degree in chemistry, microbiology, or biology may be considered when completed coursework aligns with the duties of the position. Coursework completed outside the United States must be verified by a National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES)-approved credential evaluation service. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and hematology experience are required. At least six months of experience in a medical laboratory setting is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Certification at the technologist level from a nationally recognized agency, such as ASCP, NCA, ASM, AABB, ACS, or HEW.
• Schedule: Rotating schedule with 10-hour shifts from 10:30 p.m. to 9:00 a.m., four days per week, and a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Performs routine and complex analytical procedures on blood, body fluids, and other specimens using manual techniques, laboratory instruments, and information systems. Every other weekend is required.
