Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $1,999 a week in all, a taxable rate of $20 an hour plus $1,279.36 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical With Telemetry position. The role provides care to adult and geriatric patients with conditions including acute respiratory failure, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease exacerbation, pneumonia, and sepsis. Responsibilities include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia management, respiratory support, peripheral line care, phlebotomy, and intravenous placement.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Minimum one year of recent registered nursing experience; active New York license required at submission; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification; competency in phlebotomy and intravenous placement; experience with medical-surgical and telemetry nursing, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, rapid response team activation, peripheral line care and management, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions, and personal protective equipment.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with computerized clinical documentation and electronic medical record systems; experience managing amiodarone infusions.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week; every-other-weekend coverage required.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Care is provided to adult and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical telemetry setting. Patient care may include bilevel positive airway pressure, continuous positive airway pressure, high-flow oxygen, ventilators, tracheostomy care, and chest tubes. First-time travelers are accepted. The role requires participation in dysrhythmia management, rapid response procedures, oxygen protocols, computerized documentation, and isolation precautions.
