Direct Support Professional, DSP

At Covenant Case Management Services (CCMS), we believe in helping others Thrive with Purpose . We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Community Living Support and Respite care for an individual with intellectual disabilities in the Charlotte , NC area. In this role, you will play a vital part in fostering independence, promoting community inclusion, and ensuring a safe, supportive, and positive environment both in the home and in the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 support, companionship, and daily living assistance.
• Assist with personal care, daily life skills, meal preparation, and medication administration as needed.
• Facilitate community integration and personal goals while maintaining a safe environment.
• Maintain a warm, encouraging, and supportive atmosphere.
• Keep accurate, timely service documentation in accordance with agency policies.

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Required: Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and active auto insurance.
• Required: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Experience supporting individuals with Intellectual Disabilities is preferred.

• Strong communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
• A genuinely compassionate, patient, and heart-centered approach to care.

Position Details & Benefits

• Location: Charlotte, NC | 28215
• Pay Rate: $17.50/ hour for CLS and $17.50 for Respite
• Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8 am - 5 pm
