Director of Nursing (DON)
Community Skilled Health Care Centre is seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to join our leadership team!
We are looking for a strong nursing leader who is passionate about quality resident care, staff development, and creating a positive clinical environment.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and oversee the nursing department
- Ensure high-quality, compassionate resident care
- Supervise, support, and develop nursing staff
- Monitor clinical practices and ensure compliance with regulations
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
- Work closely with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, and maintaining appropriate nursing coverage
- Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment
- Help ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation
What We’re Looking For
- Current RN license in the state of Ohio
- Previous nursing leadership experience preferred
- Long-term care/skilled nursing experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to lead a team while maintaining a hands-on approach
- Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations
