  • Conduct initial psychiatric/clinical evaluations for new admissions and review relevant medical, psychiatric, psychosocial, and medication information.
  • Review admissions, treatment plans, and required clinical documentation; provide required physician signatures and clinical recommendations.
  • Complete and review documentation in TenEleven (10e11), EFMNY's electronic health record.
  • Provide consultation to the interdisciplinary team and participate in case review, care coordination, and clinical quality/regulatory activities as needed.

Schedule

Approximately 15 hours per week (30 hours biweekly), with flexibility based on clinical volume and program needs:

  • 5 hours onsite – medication management, direct patient care, and team consultation.
  • 5 hours – initial psychiatric/clinical evaluations and admission-related review.
  • 5 hours – 10e11 documentation, treatment-plan review/signatures, record review, prescriptions, consultation, and Medical Director responsibilities.

The onsite component will be scheduled as a consistent weekly clinic block. Remaining responsibilities may be completed remotely when appropriate.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO with an active, unrestricted New York State medical license.
  • Psychiatrist, neuropsychiatrist, neurologist, behavioral neurologist, or other physician with relevant neurological and behavioral health expertise.
  • Experience with I/DD, DD, epilepsy/seizure disorders, neurocognitive disorders, neurological conditions, and/or co-occurring behavioral health needs strongly preferred.
  • Experience providing direct care and interdisciplinary clinical oversight; Medical Director or comparable leadership experience preferred.
  • Ability to provide evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing/medication management, clinical documentation, and treatment-plan oversight within scope of practice.
  • Ability to commit to 15 hours weekly, including a consistent onsite presence at EFMNY's Manhattan clinic.
