BrightStar Care of Santa Barbara and West Ventura Counties is currently looking for caregivers to work weekend shifts in the Santa Barbara area.
As a part of our home care team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who may be facing challenges due to age, illness, or disability, while contributing to their well-being and independence.
Your daily tasks could include
- Personal care: Helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Meal preparation: Ensuring the person eats well-balanced meals
- Medication reminders: Ensuring medications are taken correctly and on time
- Transportation: Helping the person get to appointments, doctor's visits and outings
- Mobility assistance: Helping the person move safely, both inside and outside the home
Emotional support
- Companionship: Engaging in conversations, reading, or playing games
- Listening: Being a good listener and showing empathy
- Encouragement: Offering encouragement and care
Safety
- Maintaining a clean environment: Keeping the person's living space clean, safe, and orderly
- Following emergency procedures: Knowing how to respond in emergency situations

Requirements
- 6 months of hands-on care experience or valid CNA license
- Must be at least 18yrs of age
- Reliable, Insured Vehicle & Valid Driver License
- Approved Home Care Aide (HCA) Registration with the California Department of Social Services (CDSS), or the ability to complete registration prior to hire.
