Schedule/Shift
4x10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Call required as needed, with floating required in the event of a COVID surge.
Job Description
The Cath Lab Technologist will provide care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing invasive cardiovascular procedures. The role involves performing various catheterization procedures including balloon angioplasty, PCI, stent placements, thrombectomies, and hemodynamic monitoring using the EPIC system. The Cath Lab is responsible for 25-35 invasive procedures daily, utilizing advanced technologies and protocols.
Responsibilities
- Performing diagnostic and therapeutic catheterization procedures.
- Monitoring patient hemodynamics and responding to changes in patient status.
- Utilizing advanced equipment and maintaining sterile environments.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
- Documenting patient information accurately in the EPIC system.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a Cath Lab or similar role.
- Experience with a variety of invasive catheterization procedures.
- Prior experience with hemodynamic monitoring systems such as EPIC-CUPID and XPER Witt.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- RCIS/RCES certification preferred but not required.
- Active state license must be presented at the time of submission.
