Job Description
The Medical Technologist will primarily work in the Blood Bank, performing immunohematology testing and ensuring compliance with established protocols. The role requires expertise in blood type testing, cross-matching, and the management of blood products.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood typing, cross-matching, and compatibility testing.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of test results.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Adhere to quality control and safety standards in the blood bank.
- Collaborate with medical staff and other laboratory personnel.
Required Experience
Candidate must have previous Blood Bank experience along with an active Florida license.
Certifications/Licensure
- Certification in Immunohematology/Blood Bank is required.
- Active Florida license is required.
