Assistant Director of Nursing / Infection Preventionist (IP)
Located near Deptford, NJ
A long term care, skilled nursing facility located near Deptford, NJ is looking for an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing / Infection Preventionist (IP) . This position offers the potential to transition into the Director of Nursing role in approximately six months , depending on qualifications and facility needs.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Work closely with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily nursing operations and ensure quality resident care.
- Supervise and support nursing staff.
- Oversee infection prevention practices, monitor infections, and provide staff education.
- Assist with nursing policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
- Take on increased leadership responsibilities in preparation for a potential transition into the Director of Nursing role.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Registered Nurse (RN) preferred. A highly experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) may be considered for the ADON position.
- Strong nursing leadership and clinical experience.
- Infection prevention experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and staff management skills.
- Ability to assume additional leadership responsibilities.
- Must meet applicable licensure and qualification requirements to transition into the Director of Nursing role.
