Your role with us

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced nursing leader to help shape the future of specialty care operations across our medical group. This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse who combines strong clinical knowledge with operational expertise and a passion for driving meaningful change.

As Director, Salem Health Medical Group Administration, you will serve as a strategic partner to providers, clinic leaders, and executive stakeholders, helping advance quality, standardization, and operational excellence across a growing network of practices. You will be at the center of initiatives that improve clinical workflows, enhance patient care, support provider success, and prepare practices for continued growth and regulatory readiness.

Success in this role requires someone who can quickly assess challenges, build strong relationships, influence through collaborative partnership, and move initiatives from concept to implementation. You will travel across Salem Health’s footprint to work amongst multiple specialties and locations, partnering with teams to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and drive measurable improvements in quality, efficiency, and patient experience.

This role is ideal for an experienced nursing leader who thrives in a highly collaborative environment, can navigate complexity with confidence, and is motivated by the opportunity to elevate patient care through operational excellence, clinical partnership, and strategic leadership.

If you are energized by making a lasting impact on healthcare delivery and enjoy leading in an environment that balances both strategic planning and hands-on operational work, this may be the perfect opportunity for you.

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute strategic plans that align departmental operations with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes, patient safety, operational performance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with clinic leaders, providers, and operational teams to evaluate and improve clinical workflows across multiple specialties and care settings.
  • Support onboarding, integration, and optimization efforts for new practices and service lines, ensuring operational and clinical readiness.
  • Analyze performance metrics and key indicators to identify improvement opportunities and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to assigned departments, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
  • Manage resources effectively, including staffing, equipment, and operational processes, to optimize performance and patient care.
  • Develop and oversee departmental budgets while balancing fiscal responsibility with high-quality care delivery.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, clinic managers, and interdisciplinary teams to improve operational effectiveness and patient outcomes.
  • Help standardize best practices and implement evidence-based approaches throughout the medical group.
  • Participate in provider, operational, and leadership meetings as needed to support organizational initiatives.
  • Provide leadership for assigned operational areas and future service-line responsibilities as the organization continues to grow and evolve.

What we're looking for

  • Demonstrated success leading teams, initiatives, and organizational change in complex healthcare environments.
  • Strong understanding of clinical operations, quality improvement methodologies, workflow optimization, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across providers, administration, and clinical teams.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience working directly with physicians, provider groups, or ambulatory care operations strongly preferred.
  • A proactive, results-oriented leader who can independently drive projects while effectively bringing people together around a common goal.
  • Adaptability, resilience, and a passion for continuous improvement in healthcare delivery.

Required qualifications

  • Master's degree.
