Private Duty Caregiver
Job Summary
Join our team at Safe and Sound Home Care, a family-owned company dedicated to providing professional, private duty care to help the elderly and disabled live safely and independently at home. As a Private Duty Caregiver, you will work one-on-one with our clients, providing a range of services including personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily living tasks.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents by tending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Help clients take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation.
- Assist with mobility around the house or outside, including doctors' appointments, walks, and other activities.
- Plan and prepare meals, complete client shopping, and accompany clients to appointments.
- Perform housekeeping duties, such as laundry and cleaning.
- Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in case of an emergency.
- Offer activities that are essential for daily living, such as assisting patients with meal preparation, serving, and other tasks.
Requirements
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and eager to continuously learn new skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner.
- Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
- Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year).
- Willingness to enforce help in safety standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent/experience as a Caregiver.
- Take pride in high-quality care.
