Overnight Private Duty Caregiver
Job Summary
As a compassionate and dedicated Overnight Private Duty Caregiver with Safe and Sound Home Care, you will provide high-quality, one-on-one care to elderly and disabled individuals in the Oxford, MS area. Our family-owned company is committed to helping our clients live safely and independently at home, and we're seeking a motivated and experienced caregiver to join our team. If you're passionate about making a difference in people's lives and have a strong desire to work in a private duty care setting, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents, including showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Help clients take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation.
- Assist with mobility around the house or outside, including doctor's appointments and walks.
- Plan and prepare meals.
- Complete client shopping or accompany them to shopping.
- Perform household duties.
- Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in case of an emergency.
- Offer essential daily living activities, including serving and other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and eager to continuously learn new skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner.
- Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
- Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year).
- Willingness to enforce safety standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent/experience as a Caregiver.
- Take pride in high-quality care.
