Key Responsibilities
- Maintain adequate inventory of medical, nursing, and facility supplies
- Receive, inspect, organize, and distribute supplies to appropriate departments
- Monitor inventory levels and prepare orders as needed
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with routine inventory counts
- Ensure supplies are properly stored, labeled, and rotated
- Monitor expiration dates and remove expired or damaged supplies
- Communicate with vendors and assist with deliveries and supply discrepancies
- Keep the central supply area clean, organized, and secure
- Follow infection control, safety, and facility policies when handling and storing supplies
- Work closely with nursing and other departments to ensure supply needs are met promptly
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in healthcare, inventory, central supply, or a similar role preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records and manage inventory effectively
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift, move, and organize supply boxes and materials as needed
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work independently
- Knowledge of medical supplies and skilled nursing facility operations is a plus
This role requires Florida AHCA Clearinghouse background screening.
