About the job
Are you a CNA or experienced home health aide looking for steady hours and a team you can count on? Right at Home Southeast San Antonio is building a dedicated care team for a client who now needs care around the clock Monday–Friday in his home in Karnes City, and the family covers weekends. We are hiring now for day and overnight 12-hour shifts.

The Case:
You will care for an elderly gentleman with moderate dementia (Alzheimer's) who lives at home with his wife and cannot be left alone. He uses a walker and a wheelchair, is a fall risk, frequently wakes at night, and needs hands-on help day and night. Care is needed Monday–Friday only - there are no Saturday or Sunday shifts on this case.
What You'll Do
- Provide compassionate care, supervision and companionship
- Assist with activities of daily living: toileting, dressing and changing, grooming
- Full incontinence care (briefs) and help with toileting
- Safe mobility help: walk with the client, walker/wheelchair assistance, bed/chair transfers, fall prevention
- Assist with meals, including cutting food into pieces
- Medication reminders
- Light housekeeping: change bed linens, make the bed, clean bathroom and living area
- Meal preparation and cooking when needed
- Encourage prescribed exercises and activities he enjoys
Who You Are
- Compassionate, dependable, and caring
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- Insured vehicle with current registration
- At least 1 year of experience working with seniors, completion of a CNA course, or enrollment in a nursing program
- CNA certification or completed CNA training strongly preferred - CNAs will be interviewed first
- Experience with dementia care and incontinence care is a strong plus
- Available Monday–Friday for 12-hour shifts
- Must pass a national background check and drug screening
Hours: 12-hour day and overnight shifts, Monday–Friday, about 36 hours per week
Location: Karnes City, TX (applicants from Kenedy, Runge, Falls City and nearby areas welcome)
Pay: $12–$14 per hour, weekly pay
