About the Role
Right at Home Cleveland West is hiring compassionate Direct Support Professionals to provide personalized, in-home support that helps clients live safely and comfortably at home. The ideal candidate is dependable, patient, and a strong communicator with a genuine desire to help others.
What You’ll Do (Core Responsibilities)
- Personal care assistance: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting
- Meal preparation based on dietary preferences/restrictions
- Mobility & transfer support: assist with walking, transfers, and prescribed exercises
- Companionship & engagement to support emotional well-being
- Light housekeeping: laundry, vacuuming, keeping a tidy environment
- Transportation & errands: accompany clients to appointments, shopping, etc.
- Observe and report changes in condition to the care team/family as appropriate
- Documentation of services provided and observations
- Team communication to ensure coordinated care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Caregiving experience preferred (not required)
- Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to follow care plans and adapt to changing client needs
Reliable transportation + valid driver’s license
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
