Your Role as an RN
As an RN at Newfane Rehab & Health Care Center, you'll take the lead in delivering top-tier care while supporting and guiding a fully staffed team of CNAs.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians using the “five rights” system
- Supervise, direct, and support CNAs in their daily duties
- Monitor and report any changes in resident conditions to the Unit Manager or Nurse Supervisor
- Ensure compliance with residents’ individualized care plans
- Handle and document all aspects of controlled substances and medication storage
- Accurately chart in Nursing Notes, MARs, Treatment Records, and Care Plans
What We’re Looking For
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
- Experience in geriatric or long-term care settings preferred
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Empathetic, professional, and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment
