Job Description Summary

This full-time, thirteen-month clinical position is designed for board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP-BC) within the MUSC College of Nursing Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Technology Enhanced Residency (PARTNER). PARTNER is designed for newly graduated PMHNPs to advance beyond their graduate academic training and develop expertise in integrated primary care behavioral health for children, adolescents, and adults, focusing on rural and underserved communities in South Carolina. The thirteen-month residency (starting July 1st) is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position to build advanced competence and confidence in providing integrated primary care behavioral health across the lifespan. The program supports PMHNPs in developing advanced clinical decision-making skills for assessing, diagnosing, and managing acute and chronic mental illnesses through psychopharmacological treatment and psychotherapy modalities.
