What You'll Do

• Lead as First Assist: Serve as the primary surgical first assist, providing critical hands-on support throughout procedures.
• Set the Stage Pre-Op: Confirm cases, meet patients, walk them through procedures, gather documentation, and coordinate closely with OR staff.
• Deliver in the OR: Support patient positioning, maintain a sterile field, anticipate the surgeon's next move, and work in sync with the surgical team.
• Follow Through Post-Op: Assist with patient transfer, deliver thorough PACU handoffs, and complete documentation with precision.
• Help Us Get Better: Contribute to clinical and operational initiatives - education, training, and process improvement.
• Keep Growing: Bring a willingness to learn new surgical specialties and expand your skill set.

Qualifications

What You Bring

Experience

• At least 2 years of surgical assisting experience
• Hands-on experience assisting in General Ortho and Spine

Education & Credentials

Candidates must hold at least one of the following credentials:

• PA-C – Physician Assistant-Certified
• NP with RNFA – Nurse Practitioner with Registered Nurse First Assistant credentials

Physical Requirements: Able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation, including:

• Ability to lift, sit, stand, or squat
• Constant seeing, hearing, and speaking
• Frequent lifting up to 20+ lbs., plus bending, reaching, standing, walking, and kneeling
