Role Overview

• Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care focused on cancer screening, early detection, risk reduction, and tobacco treatment .
• Conduct patient assessments, evaluate cancer risk factors, and provide education and counseling on recommended cancer screenings and preventive health measures.
• Support patients through the cancer screening process, including appropriate follow-up and coordination of care.
• Provide tobacco treatment and support patients in developing strategies to reduce tobacco use.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, patient navigators, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, accessible care.
• Help promote cancer prevention and awareness within the communities served by the Ralph Lauren Center.

Key Qualifications

Physician Assistant (PA)

• Graduate from an accredited PA program
• NCCPA certification
• Active NYS license or qualified for state licensure
• Experience in cancer screening, preventive care, or risk reduction is preferred
• Experience with tobacco treatment counseling is preferred
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred

OR

Nurse Practitioner (NP)

• Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations
• Master's degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
• Related national NP certification
• Experience with tobacco treatement counseling is preferred

• Communicates effectively with patients and families, providing clear education and guidance on screening recommendations, risk reduction, and tobacco cessation.
• Collaborates effectively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and address barriers to accessing healthcare.
• Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic outpatient environment while managing competing priorities.
• Passionate about patient education, health equity, and helping individuals take an active role in their health.

Additional Information

Hours: Four 10-hour shifts per week, primarily 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., with a rotating schedule that includes one Saturday every four weeks.

Pay Range : $155,500-$197,400/annually
