About the job
Lockport Rehab & Health Center is Hiring a Speech Therapist.
As a Speech Therapist, you are to
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication and swallowing disorders
- Provide training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals
- Communicate with patients to evaluate their level of speech or language difficulty
- Adapt programs according to the needs of the resident
- Supervise supportive personnel in accordance with state and professional standards
- Conduct training programs and participate in training medical, nursing and other personnel in speech therapy techniques
- Ensure the residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere that recognized the individuals’ needs and rights
Requirements
Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology/Therapy
- Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (preferred)
- Valid NYS License and Credentials
