FRONT OFFICE RECEPTIONIST

Jericho Road Community Health Center is actively seeking a Front Office Receptionist . This position is full-time , within the Dental Front Office, working across our Buffalo locations, with a primary location of the 1021 Broadway Dental Office .

Responsibilities

• Answer phone, check and monitor voicemail messages and reroute or communicate to appropriate staff members
• Accept and manage incoming dental office deliveries
• Greet visitors, ascertain purpose of visit, and direct them to appropriate staff
• Maintain and transmit correspondence or medical records, by mail, email or fax
• Provide customer and personal services, including patient needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
• Obtain payment for services rendered
• Support dental office manager in referrals and prior authorizations
• Make appointments for dental patients in Dentrix and Medent EMR systems
• Enter accurate insurance information and verify insurance eligibility
• Schedule and confirm patient diagnostic appointments, and other specialty appointments that may not be a direct service of JRCHC
• Provide excellent patient care standards and model excellent listening skills with attention to detail, critical thinking and presenting effective solutions to situations
• Support patient needs assessments and facilitation of patient survey to meet goals for quality standards in service and patient satisfaction
• Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of protected health and financial information modeling a high level of HIPAA compliance

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED equivalent
• Preferred experience working in a dental or primary care office setting
• Preferred Experience with healthcare software systems, including Medent, Dentrix and Microsoft
• Preferred ability to work late or evening hours

Hourly Rate: $17.00-19.00 an hour. Individual compensation is based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other position related components.
