Community Dining Administrative Assistant

Full-time 35 hours/week

NOT Remote

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required

Responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Community Dining Program and related programs in the Nutrition Department at Greater Springfield Senior Services, Inc.

• Assist the Community Dining Supervisor with daily administrative tasks related to the program, including but not limited to data entry, assisting at dining sites, and other special projects as they arise.
• Cover phones as needed and complete related data entry into the Wellsky database system while maintaining accurate phone and message logs.
• Assist with site coverage for the Community Dining Supervisor and Meal Site Managers in their absence
• Assist with Nutrition Department Outreach, including attending health fairs, Senior Center events, farmers markets, etc., to bring awareness to the program and the agency.
• Assist with entering the National Aging Program Information System (NAPIS) information into the WellSky database.
• Attend and assist with planning the monthly Meal Site Manager Meetings.
• Assist Department leadership with the planning and execution of opening up new Community Dining sites and models.
• Be trained and serve as a backup Meals-on-Wheels driver as needed.

Education and Experience

• At least one year of experience working with the public in a customer service capacity.
• Food service experience preferred.
• Experience working with the older adult population and those living with disabilities preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
